My Dearest Father

By Han Esther Y

My Dearest Father

Thy darling daughter here.

I botched to be thy child of innocence.

I’m clocked in dirt with fear and sins.

Thy darling daughter isn’t virtuous.

I long how affectionate thou call my name,

The love you accord was all and more,

Yet I remain vicious and blinded in love.

My rigid heart, wreck phantasm, I Shame.

You nurtured me with sweetness and love,

Yet the love of other man bestowed bitterness and quilt.

He lured me with poems of love I never heard.

Offered me roses and never mentioned about those thorns that hurts.

Suck all my sweetness and left me in bitter out of tears.

And now my soul is drain and tears won’t run no more.

Breathing my last moments while I write,

As I failed to bear the pains of betrayals.

And failed to follow the path you showed.

Oh My dearest Father,

How precious your tears to weep for me.

When ye’ wake up I’ll be gone.

As I drift off to peaceful sleep

I hope this lines find you in time.

I wish and pray to universe that,

‘you be my father in another life again.’

And all the life that’s yet to come.

Be my darling Father.

  • The themes of betrayal, lost innocence, and the yearning for paternal love are powerfully expressed. The repetition of “My dearest Father” and “thy darling daughter” creates a strong, intimate connection between the speaker and the father, highlighting the depth of the bond and the sorrow in its perceived fracturing. How I wish the man in line " He lured me with poems of love I never heard" valued you as you father did. So, that you’ll feel home away from home in his arms. Keep coming dear Hanlola Y Esther and all the very best in future. BestRegards #PyariKumar from Nepal.
