Summer Woes

By Nehaa Kaira

Heavy bags, heat of july.
School to home, the temperature high.
Reaches home, the lemonade ready.
Scooby on T.V, watched with my teddy.
Clock strike five, hide and seek started.
Mumm called name, and the friends parted.
Lots of homework, no Google to help.
went to school, and the teacher's yelp.
Saturdays and Sundays at nani's place.
The trin trin of bicycle's bell, as we race.
School, college, job, changed the summer.
Gave money, status, but took the summer from her.
