Program Structure:

Online Sessions over Three Days, Anthology Publication & Certificates for completion of the Program

Session 1

21st March, Friday: Discover how you can source opportunities in publishing, reading tours, workshops and residencies and earn from your writing work. Experts from reputable literary organisation, publishing house, festival organisers will lend you valuable tips on how you can advance your literary career domestically and abroad.

Learn how to build a strong writing portfolio so you can stand out while applying for a job or writing project.

Session 2

22nd March, Saturday: During the live session, each global poetry attendee will be allotted 5 minutes to read aloud an original poem and share their poetic journey. You can talk about your inspiration, the essence of what poetry means to you, achievements and future goals in the presence of other global poetry attendee.

Session 3

23rd March, Sunday: The anthology will be discussed during the session. Talks around its mission and impact on global readers will be explored. Attendees will be given tips on maximizing their reach and using the anthology to leverage opportunities in the literary landscape. The poetry readings from the second day will be continued. To conclude the program, our team will offer a thank you note to all attendees.

Anthology and Certificate will be shipped out to the attendees on. 7th of April 2024 from our Delhi headquarters.

    Rules: 

    1. All nationalities are welcome.
    2. Poems for the anthology must be written in English.
    3. Poems must be no more than 80 lines.
    4. You can submit a total of three poems for publication in the anthology.
    5. There is no restriction on theme or style.
    6. Poems published previously are allowed to be entered.
    7. You are encouraged to write about topics and experiences that spark your poetic interest

        Program Fee:  INR 20,000

        For participating in World Poetry Project, selected candidates are required to deposit a one-time fee of 20,000 rupees. The fee is used for marketing you as a poet across social media and press outlets, fostering collaboration with international poets and publishing the anthology.

        You will receive two complimentary copies of the book at your home address and Certificate of Merit.

        As part of World Poetry Project, the anthology will include poems by famous authors. Find our more about them: 

        Nandana Dev Sen is an award-winning actress, writer and activist. She is the daughter of Nobel Prize Winner Amartya Sen and Bengali writer Nabaneeta Dev Sen. She is the author of six children’s books, translated into more than 15 languages globally, and two collections of her translations of the poetry of her mother. She grew up in India, England and America, and has starred in 20 feature films from four continents.


         

        Shruti Chauhan is a British poet, performer and BBC radio presenter. The Shruti Show airs across the East Midlands and her podcast, Mission Curry, is on BBC Sounds. She has performed at Royal Albert Hall, Southbank Centre, TEDxLeicester, the Royal Shakespeare Company and widely across the UK. Shruti was voted Best Spoken Word Performer at the 2018 Saboteur Awards and won the National Poetry Library's Instapoetry competition the same year. Shruti wrote the song lyrics for the BBC Four documentary, My Asian Family – The Musical (2018).


        Saumya Choudhury is the founder of Delhi Poetry Slam, a platform passionately bringing poems from across India and sharing it with the world for over a decade.

        A poet, publisher and organizer of literary events, Saumya is the award recipient of Gulen Institute Youth Platform at Washington D.C  in USA and the prestigious 35th Y. Kumar Award for International Understanding presented to her by the late Sitaram Yechury. She has been featured on ARD German TV, Hindustan Times and The Indian Express.
