When one says yes,
The other says no;
The one who agreed gets annoyed,
The one who disagreed feels dejected;
When the urge to do something arises in one,
The other decides to call it all off;
One calls the very idea intelligent and helpful,
While the other calls it pathetic and useless;
While one wants to be peaceful,
The other wants to be rebellious;
When one begins an action,
The other shows its reaction;
Sometimes they plead with each other;
Sometimes they shout at each other.
It is the constant arguments back and forth,
The war between the Mind and Soul.
Kudos to Amodini for this thought-provoking poem!
With relatable imagery and evocative language, she encourages us to embrace our contradictions and find harmony. The poem beautifully captures the Mind-Soul struggle. Relatable, evocative, and inspiring.A fair message to all. The structure of a poem could be much more streamlined. The budding talent should be nurtured by mature persons right away.
It is beautiful balance of positive and negatives. I like how it shows cases irony in every other line. The poem is a perfect example for a poem with a strong message and truths about life.
This is a beautiful description of the ongoing conflict between the mind and the soul; a symbolic description of the permanent struggle within ourselves between rationality and deeper emotional or spiritual thoughts and desires.
I liked the way this conflict is sometimes subtle, by negotiations, and other times by arguments and violent clashes.
True reflection of world politics as well as human conflict of mind and soul.
Strong, accurate and interesting, reflects true feelings of the mind and soul.

A poem with a strong message! Contemplations of life are characterised by portraying two characters- the Human Mind and Soul. How true in life it is.
