The dread creeped up my bloodline,
When he creaked open the door,
And stole my innocence;
With hunger asserted in each bone.
The power was denied,
There was a sweet decline,
The degrade was for their delight
Showed the world my ultimate demise.
Killed the mockingbird with both their hands,
Still, crying on the bare land
Left shadow of me imprinting my paths.
But when silence adhered my mind,
The darkness also shied
With numb legs I ran for my life;
Silver lining thrived with a flicker of light.
The pain still haunted from the past,
And my soul rips away slowly
As the days pass
With the bittersweet pill of life that I basked.
