A little princess was born
In a grand, four-story home.
In the big family, she was considered to play no role;
She lived with her happiness, sole.
And as she grew up,
Her family grew apart;
Relationships tensioned,
The gap strengthened.
The family was big,
Couldn't give her space, a small twig.
Now she is nuclear,
A family small.
No grandparents to love,
Life is tough.
The family broke because they wanted her to die,
But the parents wanted her to fly.
And now,
She has her parents,
The ones who care for her,
The ones who do not think of her as unwanted,
The ones who think of a girl child as gifted,
The ones who value equal.
Now the family she lives in,
There aren't thoughts caged thin.
No one's pegionholed;
All are equal they are told.
Girls' content is no more sold.
Here,
She is a respected individual.
She, of her own, is a creation
With herself she shares the most beautiful relation.
With resilience,
With might,
Each day she proves her parents' creation, a mastery;
She proves herself most worthy.
Against the thoughts small,
She has positioned herself tall.
Her parents, her people they are,
See her worth, her beauty and grace,
A girl child, a gift, a shining face.
Her story's one of resilience and might,
A tiny fierce rebel, shining with new light.
