MOONBEAM MELODY

By Shaivi Dabadi

In the black colored night,
Shines the moon's light.
Teach us the lessons hidden in your glow,
To wax and wane and to flow.

A light to many travelers in the dark
Guiding people do embark.
Oh moon, what secrets do you keep?
An orb in the night, while we all sleep.

Inspiration to poets and all who paint,
No single soul has a complaint.
An ethereal source of radiance,
A white sphere full of brilliance.

Your cratered face, a source of ancient lore,
Holds tales of loves, of dreams forevermore.
You see our Earth with your silent eyes,
To witness our filthy lies.

Children come excited to see you.
You sometimes get shrouded and sometimes come as new.
No words to describe your luster.
You are surrounded by stars and cluster.

A satellite, with celestial bloom,
You are a perfect example of god’s boon.
Your beauty forever inspires.
A symbol of love and dreams, that never tires.

Muttering to the whispering trees,
Glows softly on the beautiful seas.
Oh moon, a symbol of hope,
I just wish I could grab you with you a rope.

Away from people, away from pain.
No need to cry, no need to vain.
You have many spectators
And you watch all the dictators.

You contain a unique mystery,
No one wants you to become a history
Inspire with your charismatic grace.
An amazing gem in the space.

No celestial body can replace your charm.
You make everyone feel warm.
As you journey on this nightly flight,
Fill your dreams with your soft flight.

So far, yet so close to our hearts.
You are truly a piece of art.
In your beautiful face, we find our tune.
In your luminous grace, we find your beloved moon.
