Nature has embedded deeply in its bosom,
The qualities of infinite generosity and kindness.
The Sun emerges from the horizon at dawn in majesty,
Casting over this world in splendour, his brilliant golden rays
Invigorating and kindling every moment, the very light of life.
He transpires through, without an inkling heralding his advent.
Birds chirp, flowers bloom, cuckoos sing and insects smile
Air too, in reverence, exudes remarkable fragrance …
All delighted by the advent of his majesty, the Sun.
All overwhelmed by the eternal love he pours on to this world…
The Sun departs at dusk, casting out his splendid, yet soothing rays
The scene, truly, a visual feast to the eyes that perceive
An invisible, subtle, healing touch to the hearts that feel.
The glad face of the sunflower that overwhelmed with joy at dawn,
Now wears at dusk, a face of grief, shedding tears in agony.
The Sun, on his part, never fails to manifest on the next day
Bringing million smiles across the path he passes through
Embracing every little life, with his golden touch
And ending the night long wait of trees, plants, birds and rivers
To catch a glimpse of him and have a feel of him at dawn.
The moon showers his pleasant rays on earth at night
Thus conquering darkness in his own right.
His silvery milky rays pour on earth, serenity to its core.
Having appeared a million times, he still appears in kindness,
Transforming earth to a veritable heaven.
A tree on its part is kindness personified,
Immensely detached from the events.
An axe may sever its trunk, breaking it up from its root
Yet, it never protests, nor does it moan
To the hands that held an axe to sever, it forgives, it is ever the giver…
Instances of nature’s kindness are never ending
For it itself has at its core, the infinity of highest spirit
Its wonder, ever revealed through its beauty
Ever young, ever fresh, ever pleasant and ever kind
All its qualities are hard to be perceived by the mundane mind.
May the Nature that nourished our being
Instil in us, its evergreen wonderful qualities.
May our love for nature multiply by several folds
May our early morning fresh breaths in the nature’s garden
Send a stream of remarkable power through us
Penetrating the innermost recesses of our being
And bring out in us a sensation of awakening
That would transform our very own being
Revitalising and reviving its very fortitude
Leading on to the discovery of our own wonderful spirit.
May the supreme freshness thus attained, dwell in us
May it linger forever and never depart from us long after…
And during one of those indispensable sojourns, as we ponder,
May the same novelty, same vitality and same fervour transcend,
Unfolding in us, for an instant, the lotus of infinite bliss.
May we see a fraction of the supreme power
Through the splendid, resplendent rays of the Sun
Through the matchless serenity of the moon
Through the brilliant shine of the glittering stars
And through the endless enormity of the sky.
May the life’s unforeseen impediments not disconcert us
May the most appalling adversities not goad us
But see us mature through the arduous, thorny path
Without being perplexed, baffled and bewildered
When fate tosses its fierce, callous and ruthless weapon.
May every awful event witnessed and every hardship faced
Transform in time, to one of the most valuable, treasured
And worthy edifice that would guide us and lead us
To a path full of poise, confidence, conviction and fearlessness
Whenever in times of need, we stand to look back and gaze at
May the immutable, all-pervading, Supreme force
All embedded and all ingrained in the very “Nature”,
Fill in us an enormous strength to tide over the most daunting odds,
Inspiring us, guiding us and seeing us grow from strength to strength
Now, tomorrow and ever after…
