In this world of contradictions, where hypocrisy reigns supreme,
People crave for goodness, yet turn away from the unseen.
Manipulation becomes an art, control a sought-after prize,
While vulnerability and kindness are seen as weak and unwise.
"We live in a society where..." they begin to say,
Excusing discrimination that happens every day.
But I reject their notion, their cynical view;
In my universe, kindness reigns, and authenticity shines through.
Is it naivety, a mere dream in my mind?
Or a vision of a world where compassion isn't blind?
Where strength lies in empathy, and courage in tears,
And being true to oneself is what truly endears.
In my world, there's no room for hatred or spite,
Only acceptance, understanding, and light.
No fear of betrayal, for honesty and trust is the norm,
And love is the foundation, keeping us all warm.
They call me an idealist, with dreams too grand,
But is it better than the reality we withstand?
In a world plagued by falsehoods and deceit,
Perhaps an idealist's reality is the one we should wield.
So I'll keep dreaming, keep hoping, and believing,
That a world of kindness is not beyond achieving.
For in the end, isn't it worth the fight,
To make our ideals the reality in sight?
