BY ANASUYA HALDAR
A demon in disguise once came to an angel
It made her numb, so cold and pale
She could hardly smile and light up stars
That night was dark and her wings got scars!
Next day, As morning light came shining on,
Her warmth was back, her scars were gone..
But a fear of darkness persisted within,
She got up slowly and found a wall to lean!
She closed her eyes and saw a dream,
That she is turning into a light beam,
The beam is fading until its all dark,
Only noises of demons, silly and jerk!
She trembled and quickly opened her eyes
Her hair was tangled, itchy with lice,
She saw in mirror a wrinkled face
The fear inside has left her with stress!
Then she went out walking into the world,
To gather some pieces of anger and love,
Her hair got untangled, wavy and curled,
Her face smooth like feather of a dove!
She was now ready for another night,
When the demon came in through the dark,
But she was still giving out her light,
As it was her purpose, her way, her work..
She was all changed, fresh and new,
Her world was same but a different view!
Light always overpowers the dark,
It never fails to deliver its work,
If angels can always do that too,
Nightmares will never be true!
