POSSESSED

By- Kaushik Ganesan

Laughter resonates around the room,

Words hang in the air around me

People with their charming smiles

And menacing stares;

Yet I'm possessed by a demon;

All I feel is an emptiness.

A weight crushing my chest,

Tears drying by my eyes,

Abuse echoing in my ears,

Unheard by the others!

The demon who possesses me;

He's calls himself Loneliness.

Inspite of what he does to me,

I've found peace in his possession!
