CATHERINE JAI
Imaginations filled with heightened hope named dream,
I enter into the contest.
Investing months of hard work and sacrifices of pleasures,
But at the end, what happens?
I watch someone else living my dream, crushing my heart.
Tantrums and complaints and whines,
Thrown towards God and me, didn't seem to matter anymore,
'Cause ultimately I am a failure.
Realizing the fact, made hope run away, to my dismay.
The little of my guts left, never allowed me to accept the fact.
So here I am, writing this poem, with a heavy heart and a swelled eye,
Giving myself a second chance, testing my talent and daring myself to dream again!
Beautiful agony in your words. Congratulations!
