Carrying on.

Avishikta Biswas

It's been years since I saw you last
How do you still manage to stay in me?
Wherever I go, whenever I go;
Either they remind me of you
Or I wish you were there by me.
They tell me to 'move on',
They force me to 'let go',
Little do they know-
Of nights slipping by in a zap,
Of wrinkled faith and plastered heart.
I have all I asked for;
Good friends, good food, good clothes, big flats
But there's a part of me, LOST.
I think ours was a story
Fate forgot to weave.
And I hope to live with love
Without sighs or heaves.
