A fallen smile

By Shion

Your smile stained my cheeks red
As seconds gnawed at my heart
We stood silent in the gushing crowd
Indifferent and abrupt.
I wonder if it is called fate
Or a beginning or my end

I sat doubting my sanity
Next to you as u lit the smoke
My dreams tasted the cigarettes
Off your lips, bitter and soft.

And yet the words won't form,
The mind won't listen to me
The suffering will prolong.
You will smile again
And I will fall hard.
